POSITION SUMMARY Repairs and maintains equipment powered by internal combustion engines.
Primary responsibility is the safe and efficient operation of the snowmobiles, along with the preventive maintenence of other equipment as assigned.
This position is located at Snow Valley Resort in Running Springs.
Starting wage between $30.
80/hr - $34.
95hr depending on experience.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES At least twenty-one (21) years old Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Two stroke, four stroke, diesel, and/or electrical training At least four years of experience in engine repair, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems Strong familiarity and working knowledge of OSHA and safety practices Considered a skillful communicator who demonstrates respect through service to others Must be able to pass Company designation as a Snowmobile Operator and Heavy Equipment Operator and operate equipment as needed Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and accurately record data in a timely fashion A collaborative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
A valid California driver's license with an acceptable driving record Offers of employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Follow all Company and Department Safety Policies and Procedures.
Attend and conduct training and safety meetings, as well as exhibit the application and retention of all material presented.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions; as well as further develop professional skills, abilities, and knowledge.
Exhibit willingness to perform other duties as assigned or assist in efforts outside of department as needed.
Read work orders, performs inspections, troubleshoots mechanical and electrical issues, extracts and reads fault codes, helps determine the best course of action to correct issues, and completes records of inspections, test results, work performed, and parts used in a timely manner.
Completes preventative maintenance, tuning, and overhauling of equipment in assigned area, which may include but is not limited to checking and changing oil, fluid, filters, belts, fabricating lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, and/or other devices.
Follow and teach team regarding the use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
Consistently cleans area and removes litter and trash, eliminating potential hazards and ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Responds to emergencies, especially involving broken-down equipment, that might arise during off-duty hours.
WORKING CONDITIONS Mental strain and fatigue may occasionally be caused by trying to resolve guest issues, meeting deadlines, and balancing the wants and needs of the departmental staff.
Handling emergency situations and working in adverse weather conditions may cause additional mental strain.
Physical hazards include walking up and down steep stairways or driving on surfaces that may be wet/frozen and slippery, as well as exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists and gases, on-mountain vehicles, electric current/shock, and hydraulic systems.
Physical strain may also be caused by lifting or movement of heavy objects, as well as repetitive fine motor activities.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
